About the role
The Engineering Team Lead position is an engineering management role responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects. This role includes technical oversight, project documentation, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.
- Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Head of Programs.
- Create contract submittals and owner/maintenance manuals.
- Maintain change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure correct documentation and drawings for manuals.
- Monitor project quality control plan and ensure its implementation.
- Represent the company in meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
- Work with payroll to ensure accurate payroll information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering Experience.
- Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for this position.
- Field experience is strongly recommended.

- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills.
- Excellence in identifying and meeting customer expectations and requirements.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, trade partners, and others.

Schedule
General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
