Engineering Team Lead
About the role
The Engineering Team Lead position is an engineering management role responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects. This role involves technical oversight, project documentation, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and project meeting minutes.
- Supervise and direct overall project activities as assigned by the Head of Programs.
- Create and issue subcontractors' contracts.
- Create and timely deliver owner and maintenance manuals.
- Maintain change order, submittal, and document (drawing) control logs.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain correct documentation and drawings for owner and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure the warranty log is up to date.
- Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
- Work cooperatively with field personnel assigned to area of responsibility.
- Monitor other contractors' activities and progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering Experience.
- Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for this position.
- Field (startup, commissioning and troubleshooting) experience is strongly recommended.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Engineering Experience.
- Registration as a licensed US-based Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required for this position.
- Field experience is strongly recommended.
- Education and experience can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and time management skills.
- Excellence in identifying and meeting customers' expectations and requirements.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
- Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, Trade Partners and others.

Schedule
General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Travel
Up to 25% (Does not include local field visits)
