Engineering Supervisor FT
About the role
At Rand Tower, Minneapolis, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, we are seeking a Maintenance Engineering Supervisor with a strong background in hotel/resort maintenance, a passion for providing customer service, and a highly motivated, detail-oriented approach. This role involves assisting with the oversight of the maintenance department, ensuring the working order of all mechanical equipment, and managing repairs and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Responds to guest's maintenance requests and questions and resolves their needs efficiently.
- Assists the Director of Engineering in training, motivating, and supporting subordinate staff to ensure quality service.
- Recognizes and rewards superior performance.
- Aids in organizing, participating in meetings, maintaining records and data pertaining to the Engineering Department.
- Develops and monitors engineering supplies, parts, and inventories.
- Assists in coordinating with outside contractors.
- Responsible for correct use of office equipment.
Requirements
- Vocational or technical training preferred.
- Two years' experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
- Ability to properly use an electrical meter.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, push/pull throughout the duration of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour.
