Job Qualifications
- Professional Experience & Education: 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following: industrial engineering, test engineering, quality engineering, and/or manufacturing operations - with a primary focus on process development and continuous improvement in a fast-paced and highly ambiguous production environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Advanced degree (Master’s) or relevant certifications (Lean Six Sigma) are preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Manufacturing, Automation, Liquid Cooling, and Hardware Skills: Demonstrated expertise in high-level assembly and integration with complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with automation technologies: vision inspection systems, robotics/cobots, automated or guided assembly fixtures, and fluid dispensing or liquid handling equipment is highly desirable.
- Specific experience with liquid cooling technology, including but not limited to thermal management, fluid systems, cold plates, coolant loops, etc.
- Experience working within rack-level server hardware, data center systems, or high-density compute platforms.
- Experience supporting NPI and transition to high-volume production for electro-mechanical systems.
- Broad engineering skillset with exposure to multiple disciplines (design, manufacturing, quality, test engineering).
- Proven ability to solve complex problems that span mechanical, electrical, and software domains - diagnosing equipment issues or improving processes by working with both hardware and software aspects.
- Understanding and expertise within the contract manufacturing sector is preferred.
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or data center hardware environments, with knowledge of industry best practices for new product introductions, process improvement, and quality control.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to interface effectively with executives, engineers, production operators, and customers.
- Experience leading teams or projects, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities to develop talent and drive accountability.
- High level of initiative and adaptability - able to thrive in a fast-paced setting and navigate ambiguity.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Commitment to safety and quality in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Communication: Provide communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department.
- Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
- Ask questions; encourage input from team members.
- Assess communication style of individual team members and adapt own communication style accordingly.
- Functional Management Responsibilities Business Strategy and Direction: Know and understand the liquid cooling strategic directions.
- With engineering services develop and implement standards for commissioning and operation of liquid cooled systems.
- A key objective for this role is codification of knowledge in this domain to support efficiency in NPIs and sustaining production.
- Develop and implement training program(s) for functions involved in the liquid cooling processes.
- Develop and standardize manufacturing processes for rack-level server assembly, liquid cooling integration, and system-level commissioning across multiple sites.
- Define and implement scalable production and deployment strategies for liquid-cooled server platforms (NPI to mass production).
- Cost Management: Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
- Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
- Provide feedback to peers, BUMs and Director Engineering Services on cost and cost trends.
- Manage creation and submission of project proposals and quotations.
- Forecast Development and Accuracy: Prepare timely forecasts for the department.
- Compare forward forecast results to historical actual results for trend assessment and analysis.
- Technical Management Responsibilities Provides direction on design and development activities to improve, modify or design new equipment products and processes.
- Direct mechanical, thermal, and electro-mechanical system integration related to liquid-cooled server platforms.
- Lead factory readiness, assembly process design, and system-level commissioning strategies for rack-scale hardware deployments.
- Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis.
- Selects, develops, trains and supervises staff.
- Establish individual goals and training plans.
