Project Manager Engineer - Liquid Cooling

About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects within the Delta Liquid Cooling Solution Business Unit. This role bridges the gap between engineering, operations, supply chain, and the customer. You will drive initiatives—ranging from AI cluster builds to liquid cooling system integrations—ensuring they meet strict timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning: Define project scope, milestones, and success criteria alongside engineering and customer teams.
Schedule & Budget Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, resource allocations, and budgets using tools like MS Project.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Track technical dependencies and critical path items, resolving blockers in hardware delivery and system integration.
Stakeholder Communication: Lead status meetings and prepare executive dashboards to communicate progress and risks to senior leadership.
Vendor & Partner Management: Track component deliveries and ensure compliance with technical specifications and contractual terms.
Risk & Change Management: Maintain risk registers, drive root-cause analysis for challenges, and oversee change management processes throughout the development lifecycle.
Performance Metrics: Monitor project health (on-time delivery, budget variance) and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
Post-Deployment: Support customer handover, including documentation and knowledge transfer.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing technical or hardware projects (experience in data center infrastructure or server deployments is highly desirable).
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency with MS Project and modern collaboration platforms.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage both executive and technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills for multidisciplinary topics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with innovative cooling materials and lifecycle assessment (LCA).
- Knowledge of industry standards for data center thermal management (e.g., ASHRAE).
- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, soldering, or brazing.
- Background in system control or coding to better understand thermal-fluid simulations.
