About the role
Charter Casting is launching its new Engineering Rotational Program to develop future engineering leaders. The program is designed for December 2026 graduates pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering with relevant internship and industry experience.
Program Structure
- Process Engineer (12–18 months)
- Production Shift Supervisor (12–18 months)
- Technical Services / Commercial (12–18 months)
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering
- Graduation date of December 2026
- Internship, co-op, or other related engineering work experience preferred
- High level of initiative with a passion for continuous improvement and achieving results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate ideas effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
What You'll Focus On
- Develop a strong technical and operational foundation through structured, hands-on learning across manufacturing operations
- Participate in shop-floor immersion to gain a firsthand understanding of production processes, equipment, and daily operations
- Lead and support process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and implement sustainable improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Commercial, to drive continuous improvement
- Gain exposure to automation, controls, and digital manufacturing technologies
- Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including root cause analysis, Lean, and Six Sigma, to improve manufacturing performance
- Document and standardize best practices to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence
