Responsibilities
- Manage contracts and project scopes ranging from $1M–$5M+, ensuring all technical deliverables meet client and regulatory standards.
- Own the full project lifecycle — from proposal and kickoff through design, field coordination, and closeout — ensuring deliverables are on time, on budget, and contract-compliant.
- Develop engineering budgets, milestone schedules, and resource plans using bottom-up methods and manage performance against those plans throughout execution.
- Lead stakeholder communication across engineering teams, clients, subconsultants, and internal leadership — including meetings, status reports, and change order management.
- Manage contract scope, risk registers, and monthly reporting across the five pillars of contract management: scope, risk, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Cook up field activities including site observations, commissioning events, surveys, and feasibility studies while ensuring alignment with safety and quality standards.
- Write and support proposals ranging from task order letters to competitive bid packages, including scope narratives, assumptions, and pricing.
- Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and the industry standard of care across every deliverable.
Requirements
- Engineering Project Manager I: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field; 5 years of project management experience in utilities engineering or very similar technical fields; PE license and/or PMP certification.
- Engineering Project Manager II: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field; 8 years of project management experience in utilities engineering or very similar technical fields; PE license and/or PMP certification.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including scope management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience in electrical utility engineering and familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Experience with contract management and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Salary Range: $76,000+ - Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications)
