About the role
This position oversees the capital projects of various scales within the Corporate Engineering Department, managing cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery within the allocated budget.
Responsibilities
- Develops scope of work, preliminary budgets, detailed cost estimates, equipment specifications, drawings, bid documents, and schedules for NWF management approval.
- Collaborates with facility staff to prepare capital appropriation requests and works with NWF management for approval.
- Manages project design and development to meet project objectives on time and within budget, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Works with equipment vendors to obtain and evaluate competitive proposals, prepares purchase requisitions, and approves project-related invoices for payment.
- Schedules equipment deliveries, services, or trades, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Oversees contractors, construction, and field installation of processing systems, conducting factory acceptance tests and pre-delivery inspections.
- Coordinates equipment start-up, commissioning, and training, and develops supporting documentation for equipment operation.
- Protects company assets and intellectual property, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management, or equivalent experience.
- 5-10+ years of project management or project engineering experience.
- CAD knowledge (experience a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of process and electrical controls.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Open to relocation and/or position based out of a NWF facility, preferably Chicago, Erlanger, KY, or Memphis, TN.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
Qualifications
- BS or BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent experience.

Pay
$150,000 - $180,000 per year
Schedule
On-site 5 days a week with travel 60-70% of the time.
