For our client, we are seeking a Engineering Manager, Payments to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This role will lead a payments-focused engineering team responsible for delivering reliable, high-quality web application experiences in a SaaS environment. You will partner closely with leadership to prioritize roadmap work, guide technical decisions, and ensure the team is delivering outcomes that support business goals. The position also involves mentoring engineers, improving system performance and scalability, and communicating progress and tradeoffs to key stakeholders. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the payments engineering team to deliver high-quality web applications Partner with leadership to prioritize payment-related projects and business outcomes Guide technical decision-making regarding reliability, maintainability, and speed of delivery Mentor engineers through regular feedback and performance conversations Collaborate with senior leaders on producing maintainable and performant code Identify opportunities for improving system reliability and scalability Communicate progress and tradeoffs effectively to stakeholders Qualifications 2-3+ years of experience leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or technical people leader Experience managing web application engineering teams in a SaaS environment Expertise in payments, billing, financial systems, fintech, or subscription platforms Familiarity with payment processing or billing platforms like Stripe, Recurly, or Chargify Strong experience with Ruby on Rails preferred; React or similar frameworks are a plus Proven record of achieving roadmap objectives and measurable outcomes Exceptional judgment in assessing technical quality and system complexity Benefits Multiple health/dental coverage options with employee coverage at 100% Vision insurance included Incentive stock options provided 401(k) match up to 4% 4 weeks of PTO, increasing after two years 12 company holidays plus 2 floating holidays Paid parental leave: 16 weeks for birthing parents and 4 weeks for non-birthing parents FSA & HSA options available Short and long-term disability insurance, with short-term coverage fully paid Funds available for community service Budget for professional development, plus a wellbeing fund of $150 quarterly Quarterly business expense stipend of $125 Provision of Mac laptop and new hire equipment stipend Remote work-friendly culture since 2012 Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
