Responsibilities

  • Provide mentorship and coaching for software engineers, fostering professional growth and a culture of innovation.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for your teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the i360 initiative.
  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions—from initial exploration and requirements gathering to design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional partners including product managers, activation squads, architects, and stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver exceptional results.
  • Champion agile methodologies, facilitating ceremonies and promoting best practices for iterative development and rapid feedback.
  • Balance development across custom software, packaged software, and SaaS tools, selecting the right approach for each challenge.
  • Ensure high quality, reliability, and scalability in all delivered systems supporting merchandising and inventory planning.
  • Monitor and improve team performance, workflow, and morale, adapting to new challenges and evolving business needs.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending strategic improvements to keep DICK’S at the forefront of retail innovation.
  • Advocate for and facilitate a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative working environment that empowers every teammate.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred
  • 6 to 10+ years experience
  • 1 to 3 years experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
