Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and coaching for software engineers, fostering professional growth and a culture of innovation.
- Set clear goals and objectives for your teams, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the i360 initiative.
- Drive the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions—from initial exploration and requirements gathering to design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional partners including product managers, activation squads, architects, and stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver exceptional results.
- Champion agile methodologies, facilitating ceremonies and promoting best practices for iterative development and rapid feedback.
- Balance development across custom software, packaged software, and SaaS tools, selecting the right approach for each challenge.
- Ensure high quality, reliability, and scalability in all delivered systems supporting merchandising and inventory planning.
- Monitor and improve team performance, workflow, and morale, adapting to new challenges and evolving business needs.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending strategic improvements to keep DICK’S at the forefront of retail innovation.
- Advocate for and facilitate a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative working environment that empowers every teammate.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred
- 6 to 10+ years experience
- 1 to 3 years experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes
