Engineering Manager, Finance Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software and data engineers using AI-first principles
• Define the technical vision for the company’s financial systems and integrations
• Ensure seamless data flow between business tools and financial systems
• Develop tools to enhance finance data interactions in collaboration with engineering teams
• Maintain high operational standards across the company’s financial platform
• Set the architecture to support financial scalability amid complexity
• Provide technical feedback and manage team performance
• Select technology vendors and make build-or-buy decisions
• Aid in recruiting efforts for engineering talent

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an engineer primarily focused on coding
• 3+ years experience managing engineering teams
• Proven track record of enhancing customer experience through UX design
• Experience with large-scale transactional data processing in a SOX compliant environment
• Successful history of building and leading productive teams
• Comfortable with defining team processes and architecture from scratch
• Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with financial tools and building decisions that support engineering success
• Understanding of cross-functional leadership in product, design, and engineering contexts
