About the role

Joining us is a chance to do important work that creates change and shapes the future of healthcare. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the technical and operational leadership of the Integra's site facilities, utilities, equipment, and capital projects in the GMP manufacturing, laboratory, support, and non-GMP spaces of the manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of colleagues through effective and continuously improving environmental, health, and safety program engagement.
  • Ensure all team members receive training, and are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits, practices, PPE, proper housekeeping, and awareness.
  • Initiates and leads accident, near miss, and incident event notifications.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors, managers, engineers, and facilities technicians.
  • Manage staffing, training, and daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, talent management, performance management, development planning, and reporting of results.
  • Provide leadership for GMP facilities, utilities, and infrastructure operations supporting manufacturing, laboratories, warehousing, and office environments.
  • Maintain building and equipment preventive maintenance programs in accordance with organization procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and monitor maintenance through CMMS system.
  • Oversee BMS operations and Controls.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to reliability, downtime, maintenance effectiveness, compliance, energy utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and collaborate with contractors and cross-functional groups across the organization to ensure contractors remain on schedule to milestone plans, deliverables, change orders, risk mitigations, and construction timelines.
  • Prepare handover package inclusive of plans, as-built drawings, approvals, minutes, and OEM documentation.
  • Develop and manage site based CAPEX requirements and projects.
  • Serve as liaison with external site stakeholders including local authorities, utility providers, contractors, and community partners.
  • Ensure completion of facilities department related GMP documentation to close audit observations, change controls, deviations, and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Provide leadership support for emergency response and business continuity activities, including on-call escalation management for critical facility events.

Qualifications

  • Engineering or Technical degree with 5+ years of experience leading a team (direct reports or projects) or equivalent education and years of management experience.
  • Master degree with 3+ years of experience leading a team (direct reports or projects) or equivalent education and years of management experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and English communication skills (oral & written).
  • Experience in regulated environment; medical device or pharma preferred.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to manufacturing.
  • Financial acumen relating to operations profit & loss (P&L) items.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and statistical analysis software.

Pay

Pay Range: $109,250.00 - $149,500.00 USD

Salary Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
