About the Opportunity:The ENGINEERING MANAGER, CLOUD ENGINEERING leads a senior team responsible for the foundational cloud infrastructure supporting the organization's products and engineering teams. This role ensures operational health, guides technical priorities, and drives a significant infrastructure insourcing initiative that will produce cost savings and enable team growth. The manager fosters a productive environment through leadership, operational oversight, and technical collaboration, directly impacting the reliability and scalability of the company’s cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities:Lead and develop a senior Cloud Engineering team with coaching, feedback, and career support.Own operational health of cloud infrastructure, including incident response and disaster recovery.Plan and execute a multi-quarter infrastructure insourcing program.Guide technical priorities across cloud infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and compliance.Enhance productivity through automation and infrastructure paved paths.Support migrations and maintain clear ownership boundaries with partner teams.Establish AI-assisted engineering norms and reduce operational toil.Maintain team health and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure priorities and dependencies.Communicate plans, risks, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.Participate in hiring and team growth planning. Requirements:Minimum 2 years managing infrastructure, platform engineering, or SRE teams in product companies.Proven experience in incident response, on-call management, and service-level objectives.Led at least one multi-quarter infrastructure migration or insourcing program.Technical expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code practices.Experience managing leadership transitions while maintaining team performance.Defined approach to AI-assisted engineering team norms.Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.Calm, accountable leadership, especially during incidents and change. Pay Range and Compensation Package:Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area, NYC, Boston, Seattle): $191,800 - $263,670Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Austin, Chicago, others): $172,600 - $237,270Zone 3 (All other US locations): $163,000 - $224,070All zones include a 10% bonus targetCompensation includes restricted stock units and health, vision, and dental insurance.
