Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager at TAMKO is responsible for overseeing all engineering operations across the industrial plant, including design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant processes for operations, production, and maintenance.
• Develop and execute capital projects for the plant.
• Maintain the 3+ year capital plan and utilize Six Sigma methodology for process improvement.
• Support maintenance functions and manage the maintenance budget.
• Coordinate with maintenance department for BOM updates and equipment changes.
• Ensure compliance with the Management of Change Process and conduct internal and external tank inspections.
• Promote teamwork and communication among plant personnel.

Requirements

• Master's of Science in Engineering or Bachelor's of Science in Engineering with relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or 5 years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong people skills and ability to lead teams.
• Experience with Six Sigma methodology or similar process improvement techniques.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in computer aided drawing software.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, HMI controls, and experience designing and implementing process and machine control programming in Siemens and Allen Bradley environments.
• A good understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and thermodynamics.
