Engineering Manager
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana (on-site)
Salary: $135k–$150k
About the role
EPM is partnered with a well-established and growing medical device manufacturer seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a critical team at one of their key manufacturing sites in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for driving engineering performance, supporting new product introductions, improving manufacturing processes, and developing a team of engineers in a fast-paced regulated environment. The position plays a significant role in site strategy and will have a direct impact on operational performance, product quality, and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers, NPI Managers, CNC Programmers, and Product Development Engineers
- Drive successful new product launches
- Ensure compliance with FDA, QMS, and regulatory standards
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, quality, finance, and commercial teams
- Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) during product development and quoting phases
Qualifications
- 8+ years in manufacturing including leadership experience
- Strong CNC machining experience needed
- Experience in a medical device environment (orthopedics preferred)
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
