Since 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and processed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Americans have used an Owner.com website. More importantly, we’ve helped over 20,000 restaurant owners and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.

Our team is now in the low hundreds, with top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire, and Stripe. We’ll be scaling even faster in 2026 to keep pace with our customer growth.

Where we work

Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few roles, we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most teammates are distributed throughout the globe. This is a remote role which can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. For candidates based in San Francisco, we have a beautiful HQ in the Presidio and like to get together for periodic in-person collaboration.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead a group of talented engineers at Owner. Our ideal candidate is an inspiring leader who is very technically strong, hands-on, and brings positivity and passion to their work and their teams.

Impact

• Lead fullstack engineering team(s) across Launch and Websites, building the product surfaces restaurant owners use to launch, activate, and grow on Owner
• Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and the AI Agents team to identify and execute on high-impact initiatives, from self-serve activation flows to AI-powered website generation
• Help define and evolve the architecture behind a fast-moving, AI-augmented product surface, partnering with Danial on cross-team technical direction
• Hire, grow, and retain exceptional engineers who thrive in a high-trust, high-impact environment
• Foster a culture of simplicity, quality, and continuous improvement across both teams
• Contribute to code and architecture reviews, unblock teams, and lead by example when needed
• Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Customer Success, and GTM to align initiatives with company goals

Who you’ll work with

• This role reports to our Senior Engineering Manager of PLG
• You will partner closely with Design, PMs, and various stakeholders throughout the company
• You will lead a group of experienced and exceptionally talented engineers

Requirements

• ~3 years of experience in a software engineering management role leading fullstack product engineering teams, preferably in high-growth environments
• A track record of leading high-performing, engaged full-stack engineering teams—not purely backend-platform or purely frontend teams
• Strong product sense and an instinct for balancing speed, quality, and user impact
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React) and backend systems (e.g., Node.js)
• High degree of cross-functional collaboration—past colleagues in product, design, and business would speak highly of your teamwork
• Growth or PLG experience (self-serve activation, onboarding, upgrade flows) is a plus but not required

Pay and Benefits

The estimated base salary range for this role is $230K–$250K, depending on experience and location. The offer also includes a generous pre-IPO equity package.
