Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering Services and assist in the operational aspects of the Engineering Department for the hotel.

• Aid the Director of Engineering Services in maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, keeping logs of work done, and assigning projects and other tasks.
• Review and prioritize work orders, and assign tasks accordingly.
• Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
• Respond to guest requests related to engineering services.
• Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.
• Understand and adhere to Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation protocols.
• Be familiar with Omni's job scenarios.

Qualifications

• Extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Union experience preferred.
• Two to four years of luxury hotel engineering experience preferred.
• Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred.
• Able to work both inside and outside the hotel.
• A professional appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Ability to handle cold, heat, humidity, precipitation, wind, noise, and vibration.
