Job Details
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop engineering teams supporting manufacturing operations and process improvement initiatives
- Drive manufacturing process optimization focused on efficiency, quality, throughput, and waste reduction
- Support automation and controls initiatives across manufacturing equipment and production systems
- Oversee new product implementation and support successful transition into production
- Prioritize and manage engineering changes from internal and external stakeholders
- Assess manufacturing and process risk related to new products, equipment, and production changes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and process optimization methodologies
- Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving related to manufacturing equipment and production processes
- Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and process implementation projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and manufacturing procedures
- Lead change management and engineering process improvement initiatives
- Analyze production and process data to improve cycle time, uptime, quality, and overall operational performance
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical standards, and manufacturing procedures
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a complex manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership or management experience overseeing engineering teams preferred
- Strong background in manufacturing processes, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting PLCs, HMIs, industrial automation systems, and manufacturing equipment troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and process optimization methodologies
- Experience supporting new product introduction and production implementation activities
- Strong understanding of engineering change management and quality systems
- Experience within automotive, aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
