Engineering Manager

Emerge is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Manager position in Medina, OH for a leading precision manufacturer. Only local applicants authorized to work in the USA will be considered; no VISA sponsorships or C-to-C agencies.

About the role

In this role, you will lead the manufacturing engineering and quality functions, driving process improvements and ensuring products meet the highest standards of technical excellence and regulatory compliance. You'll mentor and develop high-performing engineering and quality teams, oversee engineering projects from planning through execution, and integrate technical and manufacturing data into the ERP system. This hands-on leader will also manage customer and supplier quality while collaborating closely with production, supply chain, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing manufacturing engineering and quality teams.
• Build and execute manufacturing engineering and quality strategies aligned with company goals.
• Oversee engineering projects, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Drive process and product improvements through root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, and data-driven decision-making.
• Provide technical oversight, review designs, and implement technical and manufacturing data into the ERP system for product validation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001.
• Manage customer and supplier quality, including complaint investigations and supplier performance monitoring.
• Track and report key manufacturing, engineering, and quality metrics to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering, quality assurance, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, NPI, ECNs, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing.
• Proven leadership managing and developing technical and quality teams.
• Strong project management skills, including scheduling and resource planning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset that aligns engineering and quality initiatives with business objectives.

Pay

Salary in the $100,000 range plus competitive benefits.
