Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance personnel and engineering staff in daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of all work.
- Plan, schedule, and manage preventive maintenance programs and equipment repairs.
- Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes, plant layout, workflow, and equipment utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability (DFM, process capability, etc.).
- Oversee troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and failure investigations for equipment and processes.
- Generate and manage work orders; track progress and ensure timely completion of maintenance and engineering projects.
- Source and manage parts, equipment, and external vendors/suppliers.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and implementation into production, ensuring manufacturing readiness.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and equipment standards.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for team members, including training aligned with OSHA and operational requirements.
- Partner with leadership to align engineering and maintenance strategies with company goals.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, capital projects, and long-term facility planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred. (Equivalent experience with an associate degree considered).
- 8–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, with a combination of maintenance and engineering responsibilities.
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience required.
- Strong background in industrial or facility maintenance (10+ years preferred).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles, process design, and equipment optimization.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS systems preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools preferred.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and automation systems is a plus.
