Engineering and Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced leader with Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering experience to lead our team in Mount Vernon. This individual will lead our Mechanical and Chemical Engineers, along with our Maintenance team to drive improvements in manufacturing performance. Working closely with Manufacturing, Technology and Product Management, these teams are responsible for our 160,000 sq. ft. facility and the extrusion and calendaring equipment. Capital execution experience is a must as we work to upgrade and improve the existing processes and develop new methods of producing our exclusive products.
Location
Located at the Site in Mount Vernon, the candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager/America’s Manufacturing Leader and will also interact with our global Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams.
How You Can Be the Impact
- Experience leading Engineering and Maintenance teams in support of a dynamic, 24/7 manufacturing organization
- Excellent communication skills and experience in coaching and development
- Attention to detail and organized approach to work
- Demonstrated computer skills including the use of spreadsheets and databases
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (S4 Hana preferred)
- Daily alignment with the Manufacturing Team
- Experience creating, managing and executing a Capital improvement plan
- Data driven reliability reporting and reaction plans
- Global experience a plus
- Travel at 10-15% for benchmarking and vendor visits.
Physical Requirements
Typical manufacturing environment, candidate should be comfortable with regular office work, climbing stairs/ladders as needed and working outside on occasion
Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required - Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) preferred
- 5-10 years of Maintenance and Engineering experience with progressive responsibility
- Experience in SAP Maintenance and Capital systems
Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. The schedule is a Monday - Friday day shift 100% on site.
