ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Investigate and resolve electrical and programming issues encountered on the production line during electrical checkouts of the first-built bus of each order.
- Participate in electrical checkouts of the first bus built on each customer order (a.k.a. Lead Buses).
- Create and release programming updates and other engineering solutions as needed.
- Support issue resolution using J1939 network traffic analysis as needed.
- Execute in-plant testing of electrical and programming solutions as required by colleagues.
- Support supplier application approvals, vendor tests, config audits, and other online activities as needed.
- Provide general status of lead buses that are online, identify and address potential roadblocks preventing deliveries.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of equivalent related industry/technology experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
- Knowledge of high-voltage systems.
- Strong communication skills required.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electrical/Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Able to travel.
