About the role
The Engineering Intern works closely with the Engineering team on assigned projects to enhance industry knowledge and support career progression within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with detailed calculations to establish construction standards and specifications.
- Prepare and study technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure installations and designs meet standards and customer requirements.
- Help plan the layout of electrical construction projects.
- Participate in field surveys; study diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
- Operate computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Enrolled in an accredited institution and actively working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Controls Engineering.
- Experience: No prior work experience required; relevant coursework, academic projects, or prior internships related to construction or project management are advantageous.
- Technical Skills (preferred): Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit, the National Electric Code (NEC), electrical terminology and components, and the International Energy Code (IEC).
- Travel: 5%–100% depending on role and location.
- Work Schedule: Hours between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday‑Friday; flexibility required.
