Engineering Internship - Quality and Commissioning

Responsibilities

  • Train on quality and commissioning engineering principles across mechanical, electrical, wastewater, ultrapure water (UPW), chemical and gas, controls, and other critical utility systems
  • Aid with commissioning activities to support system verification, startup, and project readiness
  • Manage issue tracking within commissioning software platforms, including documentation, escalation, and follow-up of commissioning items
  • Support engineering teams in identifying, documenting, and resolving quality and commissioning issues throughout project execution
  • Conduct system walkthroughs, inspections, punch list verification, and functional testing activities
  • Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, testing records, and project deliverables
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, technicians, and cross-functional project teams to support commissioning milestones and construction activities

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (third year or above preferred) or a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong technical aptitude within an engineering discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to learn structured engineering and commissioning processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with engineering or commissioning software is beneficial
