This Co-Op/Internship opportunity is ideal for students who want to obtain real-world work experience while in school. Opportunities are available year-round with terms that may include Fall, Winter, and/or Summer, aligning with your school’s required Co-Op/Internship curriculum. The program balances classroom theory with hands-on experience to fulfill graduation requirements.

Responsibilities
- Write and update work instructions.
- Create and update CAD drawings.
- Set up and run various test equipment.
- Contribute to the engineering design process (concept, design, drawing creation, build, document), installation, PPAP, and long-term technical support of manufacturing processes, focusing on quality, capability, cost, and time.
- Assist in designing and developing tools, fixtures, and processes to support existing products and new product development initiatives, including:
- CNC Machining
- Forging
- Steel Fabrication of brake shoes
- Leaf Spring manufacturing
- Automated cell layouts / material flow
- Equipment rebuilds
- Work independently and collaboratively with engineers.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.
- Work hands-on with support groups (maintenance & toolroom) to validate designs and concepts.
- Travel to Hendrickson manufacturing facilities as needed.
Requirements
- Enrolled student or recent graduate in a Mechanical Engineering program.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting and working at a computer for extended periods.
- Work in an office setting and shop floor environment.
- Work in and around industrial machinery, with potential exposure to:
- Forging
- Machining
- Metal surface treatment
- Welding
- Stamping
- All necessary PPE (as defined by OSHA) and associated training will be provided.

Pay
$22.00 hourly
