About the role
WJCL, the ABC affiliate in Savannah, Georgia, is offering a temporary paid internship working alongside our technology team. The technology team designs, installs, manages, and supports all broadcast, information technology, communications, and infrastructure systems for the business.
This internship is designed to provide exposure and learning opportunities across various technologies and systems used in the current media and broadcast environment. Students in degree tracks or with interest in careers in broadcasting technology, multimedia production and streaming, information technology, electrical engineering, and communications technology will especially benefit.
Responsibilities
- Structured introductions and training on systems in the WJCL technological ecosystems and skills & theory that apply to all broadcast and technology environments
- Hands-on learning and broad understanding of a technical production environment alongside the WJCL technology team members
- Shadowing and performing daily and project-focused tasks
