Engineering Intern

About the role

Collins Engineer, Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Chicago, IL office. This position offers a mix of office and field experience, providing hands-on collaboration on bridge inspections, bridge design and load rating, and other structural engineering tasks. You will be paired with professional licensed engineers to learn about different aspects of structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams with various tasks and duties.
• Support engineers with research, development, and design of projects.
• Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Support inspection team leaders with the preparation of inspection reports and field work as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
