Engineering Intern

About the role

Works under the direction of the engineering manager to assist the mill in developing and implementing project and process improvements. The engineering intern will interact with the mill maintenance team, project engineer and process engineer to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cross-reference in-process equipment with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support troubleshooting and system analysis.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team to update the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate spare part listings align with P&ID documentation.
• Work with mill operators as necessary to identify process components to support system mapping and documentation efforts.
• Partner with Operations to analyze process data, develop recommendations, and help coordinate implementation of process improvements.
