Engineering Field Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site technical activities and data collection for project teams.
- Validate and document results to ensure safe and high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customer representatives.
- Determine the feasibility of commercial and design specifications for construction projects.
- Conduct geotechnical analysis and studies to assess construction site conditions.
- Act as a liaison between field crew, project managers, and engineers.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of an associate degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety and the commercial construction process.
- Able to produce detailed, accurate, and legible construction documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PREFERRED: Experience as an inspector, observer, surveyor, or in construction materials testing (CMT).
- Demonstrated successful experience interacting with onsite representatives, general contractors, and subcontractors.
- Able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Experience with concrete construction and inspection.
- Ability to travel to other offices and project sites, primarily within Omaha or Lincoln.
Work Environment
The position is primarily onsite at Offutt Air Force Base, which is a loud and dirty commercial construction site. You will report to the Project Manager and Geotechnical Engineer and serve as a liaison between field crews, project managers, and engineers.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
