Field Engineering Technician
About the role
We are in search of an Field Engineering Technologist to join our diverse and fast-paced organization. As a core team member, you will be interacting with other electric utility disciplines, performing field inspections, engineering design work and calculations, coordinating with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles. Additionally, you will provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met, and conducting root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
- Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design.
- Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections and return to the office to perform engineering design work.
What You Will Bring To The Table
- Level 1: High school diploma or equivalent is required and 6+ months of prior relevant experience, will consider coursework or projects.
- Level 2: High School diploma or equivalent is required and 1+ years of prior relevant experience; Associates Degree or higher in engineering technology or related is preferred.
- Able to walk at least one mile, swing a 3lb hammer, and execute field work on a daily basis.
- Able to work in both team and independent environments to organize work to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to perform both field and office work.
- Able to work in outdoor environments, as some field work could be required.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Benefits
Pay Range $35,100.00 - $63,450.00
