Engineering Fall Internship/Co-op
About the role
Chemours is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Performance Materials team. This position will report directly to the Co-op/Intern Manager. The intern will gain valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant, working alongside other engineers to apply classroom knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing equipment performance and recommending improvement plans
- Conducting failure analysis investigations
- Monitoring process trends and detecting poor reactions
- Implementing process improvement projects
- Participating in process safety management activities
- Contributing to team meetings and conference calls
- Facilitating Management of Change and other Process Safety documentation
Requirements
- Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Sophomore or above at time of assignment
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or similar fields
- 3.0 GPA or above
Preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom
