Engineering Faculty Adjunct

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide student instruction from a Christian worldview for various undergraduate courses (both lecture and lab) in the Engineering major. Principal Duties And Responsibilities Teach assigned course(s) (including class preparation, grading, and other related teaching activities)Maintain course syllabi, posting on the intranet for each classMaintain regular posted office hours to be available to studentsParticipate in gathering assessment data for the Engineering program Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Knowledge of teaching fieldEffective oral and written communication skills in the classroom, with students, and with colleaguesOrganizational abilities in teaching and classroom managementDesire to create a "natural critical learning environment" for students in and out of the classroom.Commitment to a biblically consistent view of science as articulated in the BJU Division of Natural Science philosophy statement.Effective communication of a biblical worldview and integration of biblical principles into subject matterProfessional appearance and presentationAbility to be a biblical role model for students and colleagues An applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
