Engineering Designer-Plumbing & Fireprotection

About the role

In this role you will provide technical and design services in support of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities. You will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule and communicating with Group Manager, Project Manager, Sr. Mechanical Engineer and design team to complete work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications
• Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule
• Communicate with Group Manager, Project Manager, Sr. Mechanical Engineer and design team
• Perform field survey duties and climb ladders as required

Requirements

• At least 1 year of similar work experience (including Revit experience)
• Vocational certificate or two-year degree in Engineering or related field
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record

Qualifications

• Good technical and communication skills
• Methodical, precise and consistent with tolerance for change
• Ability to work alone when required and effectively on a project team

Skills

• Revit experience
• Field survey capabilities

Preferred

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with healthcare work
• Passed FE Exam and obtained E.I.T certification
