Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer/Designer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer who can take a leadership role within our electrical department and ultimately become a key part of the firm's long-term leadership team. Ideally, we would like someone with approximately 15+ years of experience in the MEP consulting engineering field, with a strong background in building electrical systems. We are looking for someone who can initially lead the electrical department from both a technical and management standpoint, while continuing to manage projects and client relationships.

Requirements

• Prior experience managing or supervising a small team of engineers/designers
• Strong project management experience, including managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projects
• Ability to perform senior-level technical review and QA/QC of electrical designs
• Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
• Ability to serve as a technical and project lead directly with architects, owners, and other consultants
• Experience mentoring and developing younger engineers and designers
• Strong understanding of electrical design for commercial, multifamily, senior living, educational, hospitality, and similar building types
• Ability to assist with proposals, project scoping, fee development, and business development
• PE license would be strongly preferred, although we would consider the right candidate based on overall experience and capabilities
