The Role
Join our team as an Engineering Co-op and gain hands-on experience working on nuclear and military HVAC systems. In this role, you will contribute to the design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing of custom HVAC equipment, including chillers, air conditioners, high-efficiency filtration systems, absorption units, coolers, fans, dampers, and related components.
What You’ll Do
- Apply engineering principles, organizational skills, and teamwork in a real-world setting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and customers
- Support the development of equipment that is safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective
- Select and specify materials, components, and purchased parts; assist with writing specifications for custom components
- Troubleshoot and help resolve manufacturing, testing, and service issues
- Perform additional duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
- 1–4 years away from graduation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- PREFERRED: Preferred experience with CAD or drafting
- Strong motivation, communication, and teamwork skills
So that you know...
- This is an entry-level co-op position
- You will work closely with and be mentored by senior engineers
- Assignments typically last 10-12 weeks, depending on your school’s co-op program
- Candidates must be in good academic standing
- This position may require access to information subject to U.S. government contractual restrictions, including Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI) or other controlled information
