Engineering Co-op

The Role

Join our team as an Engineering Co-op and gain hands-on experience working on nuclear and military HVAC systems. In this role, you will contribute to the design, engineering, manufacturing, and testing of custom HVAC equipment, including chillers, air conditioners, high-efficiency filtration systems, absorption units, coolers, fans, dampers, and related components.

What You’ll Do

• Apply engineering principles, organizational skills, and teamwork in a real-world setting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and customers
• Support the development of equipment that is safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective
• Select and specify materials, components, and purchased parts; assist with writing specifications for custom components
• Troubleshoot and help resolve manufacturing, testing, and service issues
• Perform additional duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering
• 1–4 years away from graduation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• PREFERRED: Preferred experience with CAD or drafting
• Strong motivation, communication, and teamwork skills

So that you know...

• This is an entry-level co-op position
• You will work closely with and be mentored by senior engineers
• Assignments typically last 10-12 weeks, depending on your school’s co-op program
• Candidates must be in good academic standing
• This position may require access to information subject to U.S. government contractual restrictions, including Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI) or other controlled information
