Engineering Co-Op
About the role
This position supports the Engineering team and other managers in the facility through various tasks and projects, assisting with continuously improving production levels and quality through innovation in the design, repair, and maintenance of equipment and process flow. The role focuses on maximizing equipment availability and minimizing downtime.
Ideally, candidates would be available to start in December/January, working 15-20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer and breaks. Internship candidates may come from mechanical, electrical, or welding engineering backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Assist with troubleshooting and documenting critical machine breakdowns and processes through root cause analysis.
- Support other engineers in the design and budgeting of projects.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and AutoCAD.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic setting.
- Must have completed at least two years of a college degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related field.
