Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Test Planning and Management engineers, taking on tasks that range from administrative support to hands-on involvement in project planning and execution
  • Affords assistance to Test Planning and Management engineers in designing, testing, and maintaining systems and equipment
  • Captures and analyzes data, prepares reports and presentations
  • Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and performs tests as directed
  • Organizes and maintains engineering documents and records
  • Provides technical support to other departments as required
  • Affords assistance with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
  • Provides general administrative support to the engineering team as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    • Requires an associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in any field or discipline or equivalent experience
    • Requires three (3) years of experience in a professional work environment
    • Requires experience working collaboratively as a member of a project team
    • Requires demonstrated communication and teamwork skills, essential for success in a T&E team environment
    • Requires strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
    • Requires demonstrated ability to use common laboratory equipment and tools
    • Requires proficiency in data entry and basic data analysis

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    • Prior experience working in a laboratory or field-test environment or with the concepts of T&E
    • Familiarity with engineering standards and tools
    • Physical Qualifications

      • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment
      • Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
      • Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
      • Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted

      • Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

        • Must be a U.S. Citizen
        • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
        • Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
        • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
        • Must be able to successfully complete a background check
        • Must possess or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment
