Fabrication
Will include the ability to place and solder components on circuit cards and sub-assemblies. Wiring harness fabrication will require connector pinning, de-pinning, and applying mounting hardware. Lower-level assemblies will be built-up into single, or multi-bay cabinet assemblies for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas.
Position Overview
This position provides the opportunity to work both individually and as part of a team. Responsibilities include collaboration with Engineers, other members of the Fabrication team (including other Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors).
Work Hours
The position is a minimum of 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
Qualifications
- Secret clearance required to start.
- Candidates must have an active secret clearance at the time of submission.
- 3 years of experience in fabrication environments including cable and wire harness, SMT board fabrication, or maintenance of military design products.
- Prior Certification in solder and harness capability to MIL STD requirements.
- Experience fabricating electrical equipment designed from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides.
- Experience communicating issues (both verbal and written) with design and/or process requirements to management and/or engineers.
- Experience with utilizing software tools and Microsoft products.
- Self-starter capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
Desired Skills
- Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721.
- Experience in procurement and acquisition of test materials.
- Experience interpreting and building to Client's Test Equipment engineering.
Additional Information
Safety shoes are required for this position.
