The Role

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience;
• Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience;
• Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.

Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.

About the Role

As a Welding Engineer 3, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks, including but not limited to:

• Designing and implementing welding procedures;
• Assisting in the development and implementation of welding processes;
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable welding standards and regulations;
• Performing quality control inspections on welds;
• Participating in the troubleshooting and resolution of welding issues;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement welding solutions.
