Job Responsibilities
- Captures activities related to tool design to support production or procurement of tooling.
- Determines the most efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining optimal costs.
- Develops initial specifications for tooling tailored to specific programs and products.
- Collaborates with external vendors to refine tooling for optimal fit and functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent certification from a four-year college or technical school.
- Minimum of 7 years of Automotive process and stamping tooling experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience liaising with outside vendors.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project Planner).
- Operational knowledge of ISO/TS16949 core tools.
- Operational knowledge of AIAG industry standards.
- Proficiency in metallurgy of steel and applications.
- Proficiency in simulation software (AutoForm, Dynaform, PamStamp).
- Proficiency in modeling software (AutoCAD, CATIA, Teamcenter).
- Proficiency in GD&T and blueprints.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
