Tooling Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage both small and large injection mold tooling builds, repairs, or spares
• Cook up with other team members as needed during mold design, mold build, mold qualification, sampling, and final part approval
• Quote full scale injection mold tooling projects, as well as repairs, refurbishments, or components
• Investigate issues with production molds
• Engage in DFM/FMEA activities both internally and with customers
• Give status updates to management and customers as needed

Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering or related field or relevant work experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection mold manufacturing
• Relevant experience in a regulated industry (medical, automotive, electronics) - medical preferred
• Experience in qualification of complex, high cavitation, tight tolerance injection molds
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and communication skills required
• Demonstrate knowledge of Injection Mold Design and Injection Mold Processing techniques
