Responsibilities
- Supports component selection analysis for new designs and addresses DMSMS issues.
- Engages in Components Engineering efforts including obsolescence management, standardization, engineering data definition, and preparation of part standards.
- Develops and implements procurement control requirements and quality problem resolutions.
- Facilitates process improvements and serves as a liaison between part vendors, LM customers, and subcontractors.
- Resolves obsolescence issues, counterfeit avoidance, generates customer reports, and qualifies second source parts.
- Prepares part procurement specifications and resolves development and production parts problems and issues.
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance preferred, but will consider inactive clearance.
- Interim clearance required to start.
- Experience in electrical component manufacturing process and physical property analysis.
- Experience in Components Engineering with knowledge of electronic components and devices at integrated circuit or discrete level.
- Experience with new component releases and qualification.
- Experience in processing BOM (Bill of Materials) changes through agile or windchill PLM systems.
- Experience in parts selection, part qualifications, and process change notices through Agile, PTC Windchill (documentation work).
- Desire for experience with DMSMS, component related failure issues, pure tin issues, and counterfeit part detection.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
