About the role
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to ensure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system-level evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Collects data, reviews, coordinates, and conducts a variety of test procedures across various ship systems.
- Provides hands-on deck plate support and technical guidance and troubleshooting instructions by evaluating vendor furnished equipment, drawings, and test procedure requirements.
- Works proactively to impact the test program and maintain a high level of quality while ensuring schedule demands are met.
Requirements
- Must have an ABET Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; or a Master’s Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience; or Professional Development Program (PDP) NNS Apprentice Certificate.
- Nice to have interest in a hands-on experience working with shipboard systems aboard Nuclear Powered Submarines while undergoing construction/repair.
- Leadership, teamwork, and a questioning attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to climb on and around ships including stairs, ladders, masts, and scaffolding.
- Willingness to work around moving machinery at heights and in confined or restricted spaces on vessels undergoing construction/repair.

$90,000.00 to $110,000.00
