Engineer - Structural
About the Role
We are seeking an Engineer to join our team in the Philadelphia office. This role involves working closely with a team of Structural Engineers and Project Managers in a collaborative environment, adhering to established standards and maintaining a client-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural computations for the design and analysis of concrete, steel, and other miscellaneous structures.
- Create and interpret analysis models for 2D and 3D structural frames.
- Assist with construction administrative tasks, including site visits and shop drawing reviews.
- Understand load paths for gravity and lateral loads and calculate applicable loads based on appropriate building codes.
- Assist with design drawings, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables as part of the structures team.
- Prepare technical studies and reports.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Pennsylvania; candidates with a Structural Engineer (S.E.) license in another state are preferred.
- Experience with Revit, Rhino, or Grasshopper is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
