Triumph Actuation and Landing Gear, based in Yakima, WA, designs, manufactures, assembles, tests, and provides MRO services for aerospace products and systems, including hydraulic actuators, valves and manifolds, hydraulic fuses, and repeatable release holdback bars. The company employs over 240 people and is an industry leader in landing gear actuation, supplying components to every major aircraft manufacturer. Triumph Yakima is also the sole supplier of critical repeatable release holdback bars used for launching US Navy fighter jets from aircraft carriers, having provided every holdback bar since the F-14.

Responsibilities

• Manage 145 FAA, EASA, CAAC, and UK CAA Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Manage AS9110 MRO QMS.
• Act as the key Quality interface between Triumph Yakima and assigned customers, ensuring customer needs are clearly communicated, understood, and adhered to.
• Review End Item Data Packages (EIDP) and Manufacturing Planning.
• Facilitate the development, institution, verification, and communication of zero-defect plans internally and to customers.
• Serve as the key Quality voice for interactions with Customer, Supplier, and Quality representatives.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, manufacturing, and inspection, to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Analyze complex problems and facilitate cross-functional teams for customer-required RCCAs and MRB submissions.
• Communicate technical issues, solutions, ideas, and concepts to diverse audiences, including Program Managers, Customers, and Senior Leadership.
• Ensure proper escalation of customer issues as required.
• Support daily Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions for customer concession submissions.
• Use data analytics to investigate and generate nonconformance history, trends, and establish PDCAs to reduce defects.
• Conduct product and process audits and support the development of the Quality Management System.
• Facilitate on-site customer visits and audits.
• Plan, coordinate, and administer Audit and Training programs.
• Oversee the Quality Control Department.
• Interact directly with the final inspection department and conduct inspections using inspection equipment.
• Perform customer-requested investigations and failure analysis reporting.
• Maintain and report all Quality metrics.
• Participate in program and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop APQP (FAIR/PPAP/FMEA/Control Plan) in support of new program launches and create inspection plans to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or an Aviation-related field from an accredited university or college (preferred but not required).
• Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or as a Quality Auditor (CQA) (desired).
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Self-motivated individual who can work with minimal direction.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to successfully collaborate across organizations and functions.

Pay

Position Salary Range: $92,600 - $138,800/Annual. Hiring range and position pay may differ based on education, qualifications, and experience.
