Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Develop alternative designs and evaluate their feasibility based on criteria like sections, alignments, and costs.
- Identify and analyze key design elements and major alternatives that meet project objectives.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design tools to produce engineering and design documents.
- Create technical reports and engineering studies following company guidelines.
- Supervise the work of technicians in the production process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 3-4 years of experience in civil design, including site, commercial, and residential projects.
- Tennessee EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
- Experience with entitlement and zoning processes in Middle Tennessee.
- Knowledge of preparing TDEC NOI permit applications and SWPPPs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Reliability and dependability.
