Responsibilities

  • Aid in the creation of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop alternative designs and evaluate their feasibility based on criteria like sections, alignments, and costs.
  • Identify and analyze key design elements and major alternatives that meet project objectives.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design tools to produce engineering and design documents.
  • Create technical reports and engineering studies following company guidelines.
  • Supervise the work of technicians in the production process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 3-4 years of experience in civil design, including site, commercial, and residential projects.
  • Tennessee EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • Experience with entitlement and zoning processes in Middle Tennessee.
  • Knowledge of preparing TDEC NOI permit applications and SWPPPs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Reliability and dependability.
