Responsibilities
- Aid in the creation of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Develop alternative designs and evaluate factors like typical sections, alignments, and costs.
- Identify and assess key design elements and major alternatives that meet project goals.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design tools to produce engineering and design documents.
- Create technical reports and engineering studies following company guidelines.
- Supervise the work of technicians during the design process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in civil design, including site, commercial, and residential development.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
- EIT certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local zoning and entitlement processes and permitting procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
