Responsibilities

  • Aid in the creation of project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop alternative designs and evaluate factors like typical sections, alignments, and costs.
  • Identify and assess key design elements and major alternatives that meet project goals.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design tools to produce engineering and design documents.
  • Create technical reports and engineering studies following company guidelines.
  • Supervise the work of technicians during the design process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in civil design, including site, commercial, and residential development.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • EIT certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of local zoning and entitlement processes and permitting procedures.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
