About the Role

The Equipment Integration Coordinator (EIC) serves as the technical lead at the customer site and a technical advisor to Field Service Engineers (FSEs). The EIC coordinates, develops, verifies, and maintains the technical skill levels of themselves and all assigned FSEs. They act as the direct technical and activity communication link to corporate for spare parts, technical skill levels, and customer issues. The EIC is responsible for meeting contractually specified availability/MTBI requirements and minimizing service downtime while improving equipment availability, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The role involves proactively identifying and resolving daily issues to prevent downtime, error recovery, equipment repairs, and installation of assigned Continuous Improvement Project (CIP) modifications. The EIC may report to a senior EIC or act as a Floater EIC and attends service/project meetings to provide updates.

Responsibilities

  • Isolate and resolve complex equipment and/or system malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and plan methods of approach to organize solutions for complex technical problems.
  • Act as a technical leader to provide mentoring and/or training to FSEs.
  • Lead or initiate and drive Continuous Improvement Project (CIP) programs and Plan of Action Teams.
  • Provide analysis of data and drive process and product improvements.
  • Create and write QA policies and procedures.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to site FSEs.
  • Generate reports and facilitate presentations on equipment downtime, PM, calibration, and other maintenance activities.
  • Create and present reports, project plans, and other documentation as required.
  • Participate in ongoing staff meetings and activities.
  • Represent the company in dealings with customers to achieve satisfaction and present operational status in project meetings.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of repair, PM, and downtime trends.
  • Assist in providing technical and information support for all sites when required.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with customers and peers.
  • Excellent systematic troubleshooting skills, judgment, and problem-solving skills to resolve diverse projects independently.
  • Broad-based customer focus and commitment to resolving problems based on business priorities.
  • Availability to work on-call and respond to emergency call-ins.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic computer languages and commands.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines, including wearing protective clothing when exposed to hazardous materials.
  • Conformity to customer’s safety and cleanliness policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Understanding and adherence to posted work rules and procedures.

Qualifications

  • AS degree, technical certificate, or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.

Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of all equipment on site.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
