Engineer III
About the role
The Engineer III is responsible for serving as part of a team of Engineering/ Quality Engineering professionals engaging in the design of test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures for large-scale projects being performed in a distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all applicable SDLC and testing processes are followed by writing test plans, cases, and scripts to ensure the requirement is tested.
- Design and develop automated test scenarios using tools such as Java/ Selenium-based BDD framework for the applications.
- Execute manual and automated tests.
- Document and publish test results and execution status.
- Conduct debugging and issue research through Splunk by checking the logs to identify the root cause and create test plan schedules or strategies per project scope or delivery dates.
- Establish functional testing strategy, test plan, and automated test suites.
- Recommend and implement improvements to the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the testing activities and process by following SAFe Agile.
- Report defects, critical thinking towards quality, and risk-based analysis on the test results using a Q-test, following Jira, and Confluence.
- Work with Product Management, Business Analysts, Developers, and the Solution Architect to gain a thorough understanding of product requirements. Obtain product approval on created test designs and including the changes suggested during the overview.
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with the program, function output, online screen, or content and develop and assist with implementing testing programs.
- Run Oracle/ DB2 SQL Queries for investigating bug.
- Participate in Sprint test automation and functional testing to identify the prioritized regression scenarios for automation and support of monthly release activities.
- Conduct retrospective meetings on deliverables for the betterment and steps captured in the test management tool will provide the continuous learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study.
- Three (3) years of experience in any occupation with IT experience, or related.
- Experience Requirements: Three (3) years of required Information Technology (IT), or related experience must include:
- Java;
- SQL;
- SOAP UI or Postman;
- JIRA;
- Manual Testing;
- Automated Testing using Selenium;
- and Q-Test.
Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in Information Technology (IT), or related experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of SDLC and testing processes.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, SOAP UI/Postman, JIRA, Manual Testing, and Automated Testing using Selenium.
- Experience with Q-Test.
- Ability to establish functional testing strategy, test plan, and automated test suites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct debugging and issue research.
- Experience with Oracle/DB2 SQL Queries.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, specifically SAFe.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Commensurate with experience.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
