Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with and receives general administrative direction from a board of directors or regional council.
  • Discusses all projects in detail with branch/customer and be able to answer all inquiries.
  • Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials, or other organizations and companies.
  • Routinely interacts with organization leaders, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
  • Sets priorities and reconciles directions from competing interests.
  • Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
  • Stays informed on emerging methods and developments relevant to the organization, proactively recommending new practices or changes in emphasis of programs.
  • Applies knowledge and expertise through progressive experience to resolve issues and/or unique circumstances.
  • Aids in the preparation of proposals to provide professional services to obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
  • Oversees the technical, legal, and financial issues of the program.
  • Determines program objectives and requirements.
  • Develops standards and guidelines.
  • Communicate concepts to drafters/designers/engineers.
  • Check and approve drawings for all project levels.
  • Strategically assigns projects, leveraging individual strengths.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from accredited program, master's degree or equivalent.
  • Has PE/SE license in multiple jurisdictions and comfortable stamping multiple access engineering projects.
  • Able to perform and check complex calculations.
  • Able to create and approve Engineering calculators.
  • Able to review/obtain necessary information for all suspended access design projects (permanent and temporary solutions).
  • Proficient in utilizing advanced CAD & 3D model skills at drafting intermediate complexity projects using Revit.
  • Advances skills in specific design details.
  • Skilled in nodal and finite element analysis.
  • Full knowledge of regulations and codes.
  • Able to conduct site inspections of all product lines.
  • Able to train jr. engineers and other staff members.
